Open to Everyone!
While we contend daily with images, memories, and news of war it can be difficult to find words for it. Of course, this is especially so for war veterans and their families. The Writers Place has partnered with Moral Injury Association of America, the Missouri Humanities Council and the Kansas City Public Library for several years to invite war veterans and their families to discover words for war experiences in the Veterans Writing Workshop of Kansas City. This year, we reach out to all our membership and to the broader public to explore these topics in writing. We invite you to take part in this exploration with us during The Writers Place for Veterans Days, October 4th through 7th. Consider inviting your friends who are veterans to these unique events.
